Bahamian citizenship
You must be a citizen of The Bahamas.

Age 18 or older
You must be at least 18 years old and not subject to a legal incapacity that prevents registration.

Three months’ residence in the constituency
You must have resided in the constituency for at least three months before applying.

Proof of citizenship
A Bahamian passport is the principal proof listed. Other accepted citizenship evidence may require supporting documents.

Supporting identification
A driver’s licence, National Insurance card, baptismal certificate or registered affidavit may support the application but is not, by itself, proof of Bahamian citizenship.
