Bahamian citizens renewing an existing electronic passport.

Completed passport application form

Submit the completed passport application form.

Passport photograph

One colour passport photograph on a white background. MyGateway currently specifies a 2×2 inch digital photo at 600 dpi, no selfies, and additional composition requirements.

Bring or submit the existing passport being renewed.

National Insurance Card

National Insurance Card is listed among the renewal requirements.

Birth / adoption records from first passport

Original or certified copies of birth certificates, registered affidavits or adoption certificates submitted for the first passport are listed among renewal requirements.

Additional countersignature after long lapse

If the passport has not been renewed for 10 years or more, the official guidance states that Section 10 of the form and one photograph must be countersigned by the same individual.

Name-change evidence

For a name change resulting from marriage, the official guidance lists a certified marriage certificate or Absolute Divorce Decree and additional countersignature requirements.
